A site of chess puzzles, sudoku and tactical thinking challenges, paired with long-form writing on strategy. It is built for adults who like to work through a problem carefully.
Do I need to be a strong chess player?
No. The puzzles reward careful thinking more than memorised openings. Start wherever you are and go deeper as you improve.
Do I need to download anything?
No. Everything runs in your web browser on a phone, tablet or computer.
Accounts
Why make an account?
An account gives you a username for the leaderboard and a profile you can edit. You can sign up with an email, a username and a password.
How do I change my password?
Log in, open your profile, and choose Change password under Security.
Texts
How do I get puzzles by text?
Use the Puzzles by text page. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply.
How do I stop receiving texts?
Reply STOP to any message. You can also use the opt-out page or email [email protected].
Is my number shared?
Information collected through SMS opt-in is not sold, rented or shared. The Privacy Policy in the footer has the full details.
